Now that the kids are back in school and life has returned to it’s normal frantic pace, it’s time to ‘fall’ back into getting a bit more organized.  But, if your organizing style is more Any Way then Feng Shui (the art of pointing all things North to clear clutter) you can easily, mindlessly and creatively organize some of the biggest clutter culprits and zones in your home by using ‘stuff’ that’s handy.

Here are a few ‘accidentally’ inspired ideas to help get you organized without much muss, fuss or expense:

    • PAPER TOWEL TUBES- These are great for storing your kids artwork and other memorabilia.  Gift wrapping tubes work well, too for their larger masterpieces.   Let your young Rembrandts decorate the tubes with crayons, stickers or whatever other ‘creative’ stuff they choose.
    • BASEBALL CAPS- Always wondering what to do with all those extra caps that your son or hubby had to have but now never see the light of day?  Well, place those abandoned soles upside down in easy to see tabletop or countertop areas in hallways, entranceways and kitchen areas and use them to hold loose change and keys.   If you want to make it personal let each household member choose their own ‘clutter-collecting’ cap.
    • PHOTOS - This is a picture perfect way to decorate and organize areas and stuff in your hallway and entranceway which are a magnet for clutter and chaos.   Just print out digital pictures of family members and stick ‘em on walls, bins or wherever to identify personal spaces for coats, shoes, hats, and keys. One easy way is with Post-It Picture Paper.  It’s got that no muss no fuss Post It adhesive backing we all know and love so you can let your kiddies stick and re-stick to their hearts content without ruining your walls! Love that!  Check out some other places to ‘stick it’ by visiting  http://www.3m.com/us/office/postit/digital/picture_paper_features.html
    • STRAWS - Here’s an easy way to keep your link chains from knotting—just use a straw!  That’s right—just cut them to size, drop your chain through and fasten.   Simplicity is a beautiful thing!
    • GLOVE WIDOWS- Seems gloves are like socks in the dryer—mates always seem to disappear.  Now here’s a way to give them new life!  Stuff them with the dry cleaning plastic you usually throw away and voila you have a unique place to put your jewelry-put rings on the fingers and watches and bracelets around the wrist—I just ‘glove’ this idea!.
    •  CORKS- Rather then throw them away, stand ‘em upright in your jewelry box and stick your pins and post earrings into them.
    • TOOTHBRUSH HOLDER- These are a great and decorative way to organize anything straight and thin in your bathroom (other then your toothbrush!) like all those lip liners, eye pencils and makeup brushes you usually keep in your bathroom drawers.
